"ASKING" by LANCE PLAZA |
| On an October day, just days after suffering a tragic family loss, I walked out to photograph nearby trees I had been considering for fall images. The day was heavily overcast and it seemed even the leaves were crying. I photographed the trees through my own tears and purposely diffused the focus. Emotionally devastated and asking “why, oh why?” my whole world was out of focus. But the beauty of the leaves, even through my sorrow, was consoling. I photographed many images of these trees, but “Asking” was the most meaningful for me. |
