This abstract pastel painting was inspired by the idea of pure energy transmuting into physical reality. Vibrant color is the primary tool I used in order to translate the interaction and transformation of energies. Colors merge, flow gently from one to another, or clash together. When working with pastels, I completely saturate the paper with color, leaving no white showing through. The first layer is very light and sketchy, just giving a general direction to the forms. I keep adding layer upon layer, refining and intensifying the shapes and colors as I go, rubbing the pastel well into the paper. Each stroke of color is directed by intuition, as there are no external reference objects.Available in a limited edition of 125. Certificate of authenticity included.
