This collage style pastel painting is of the wings of butterflies that can be found in various parts of North America. Many are rather small and inconspicuous in life, but by enlarging them you can see how amazing their colors and patterns really are. Some of them are species I see when hiking near my home in California. When I find a wing or a whole dead butterfly on the trail, I carefully keep it to use as a model.Available in a limited edition of 125. Certificate of authenticity included.
