| Gigi Hoeller was born and raised in West Vancouver, British Columbia. After extensive travel and ten years of living on Vancouver Island,
she has finally settled in Halfmoon Bay, on the Sunshine Coast.
Over the past years she has been concentrating on mixed media paintings ranging from gardens, architecture,
fruits and vegetables and images from her travels. When not painting in the mixed media style, she paints
intense flowers, ranging in sizes from 6 x 6" to 48 x 48".
To date, Gigi's main success has been the commission to design twelve postage stamps for the Marshall Islands.
Prints of her work can be seen at The Bay, in downtown Vancouver as well as Mima Gallery on Denman Island and
some of her work can be licensed through Art Visions in Bellingham, Washington. She has participated in numerous
shows, including a solo exhibition at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Vancouver, the Tidemark Theatre in Campbell River,
and the Blackberry Gallery in Port Moody.
Gigi has also donated several pieces of artwork for charity, including the "Theatre Terrific Society," "Living Oceans Society"
and "Street Artworks" among many others.
Her work can be viewed in Vancouver at "Final Touch Frames," "Café Il Nido" as well as the Dundarave Fish Market in West Vancouver
and Old Tyme Builders in North Vancouver. Larger prints of her work can also be found at the Bay in downtown Vancouver
as well as here in our silk catalogue. |
