I began my career as a photographer model in Toledo, Ohio. I became interested in the
other side of the lens and started taking pictures under the tutelage of my husband, Robert K. Burger.
I began specializing in portraiture and nature photography with good success. Shortly after relocating in Florida,
I studied oil painting techniques with E.B. Stowe, known for his brilliant use of color to replicate the Florida nature
settings. I have successfully painted for many patrons around the world, but in latter years have returned to my first
love, photography. I combine my ever increasing technical skills with the natural eye of an artist to create striking
photographic compositions. Currently, I work with my husband as a principal of Custom Poster Works, which we started in 1993.
I also work with Hugh Stockton of Light Echos Photography, where I am perfecting my techniques at capturing the subtle coloration of pre-dawn light.
